16-PACK: The 300GB 15K rpm 4Gbps Enhanced Disk Drive Module (E-DDM) FC disk drive FEATURE 1812-5435 requires 16 available disk drive bays in one of the following DS4000 series products: DS4700 Models 70 and 72 Midrange Disk Systems (1814-70x and 1814-72x) or DS4000 series products with the EXP810 Fibre Channel Expansion Storage Unit (1812-81A, 1812-81H). These Enhanced Disk Drive Modules (E-DDM) are 4Gbps hot-swappable Fibre Channel (FC) Disk Drive options that require the Link Rate Switch setting of the EXP810 expansion box to be set to 4Gbps in order to operate at 4Gbps. If the Link Rate Switch is set to 2Gbps in your configuration to accommodate 2Gbps drives that you may have, these drives will auto negotiate and run at 2Gbps to coexist with your 2Gbps components. This option increases the storage capacity of IBM TotalStorage DS4000 Series (FAStT) Storage Servers to deliver configurations greater than 67TB. This drive, when used with the fully configured, 16-bay, DS4000 Series (FAStT) EXP810 Storage Expansion Unit, can deliver a more than 4.8TB of high-performance storage in 3U of rack space.

1-Year Advanced Exchange Warranty. If a disk drives SMART status, grown defect list, or Sense Key data indicates that a drive has failed (or is pending failure), iStorage Networks will ship a replacement drive before requiring the return of the old unit.
