Overview

The IBM x3500 (Feature 7977) server is a highly expandable tower server for small offices and workgroup settings.

You can install up to (2) Xeon Quad Core 2.66GHz processors with up to 12Mb of L2 cache. Up to 48GB of PC-5300 Registered Memory can be installed across 12 slots.

The x3500 ships with either a LFF (3.5") disk backplane that allows for (8) 300GB 15K SAS or (8) 1TB 7200RPM SATA disk modules to be installed or a SFF (2.5") disk backplane that allows for (12) 300 GB 10K SAS disk drives to be installed.
