Gen8 (G8) servers superceding the G7 use the new HP Smart Tray which is NOT backward compatible.<\/p>\n<p>The DL380 G7 server shipped from the factory with either a 6-Bay 3.5&#8243; LFF Drive Cage or 8-Bay 2.5&#8243; (SFF) drive cage.
